Ended on 13 very hard worked for rabbits. Its nice to have found a massive pocket of rabbits just a shame they seen more lamping than me lol. First time ive pushed my young dog like this so we shall see how he handles it. The humble rabbit when about in numbers can be a hard test for a dog both physically and mentally. Especially those rabbits that have seen the lamp plenty of times before. I agree trigger if there numbers and a full night lamping plenty of rabbits it takes a good dog to last the night is that the gsd x doing the damage 1 Quote Link to post

There was some sort of rabbits on the ground the night was has good as you could get. Rabbits running away from the beam, hitting hedges with good bottoms in and fencing like missiles. The dogs not exactly bred for pace and i could see his mentality changing like never before. Had the 6 month old pup running with him aswell. I got to the point where i decided not to lamp the rabbits, but has luck happened i came across 1 hedge in a field where the rabbits obvousily hadnt seen any lamp. Had 4 out of 5 judt to finish off. All interesting and a good learning course for both me and the dog. I got to have a deeper look into him and what hes made of. 2 Quote Link to post

Yes mate, both dogs worked off the lead. The pup chooses to run or not as its just a pup. The pup does has little or as much has it wants. Quote Link to post
