Well WILF with all due respect they are being treated a damn sight better than they ever have been. You’re probably too young to remember people who were a little different being locked away all their lives as an embarrassment. Nuns and priests firing them down in septic tanks by the dozen. The world has got better than it was 50 years ago. You might not want to believe it but people are better off. Living longer and to a higher standard. You might not agree with me you, might not believe me but look at the numbers they are the facts. While you may be unhappy with how the world is and how it’s run as am I there a millions who thinks it’s going just fine and are enjoying every day. The joys of democracy mean our old fashion opinions couldn’t matter any less.

Point is mate, and I agree with lots of what you have said there, that we can do both and I believe rhings would be much better because at the moment the cost in all sorts of ways (not just monetary) is too high !

It is abuse in return for a few very poor shiny things, we are better than that as a people !

Exactly WILF I agree loads more can be done. I think the only thing we disagree on is who are the best people to make it all happen. Don’t think I’ll ever get to hang around and see unfortunately. But I do hope we don’t return to the law of the jungle I lived that way in a past life and to the victor went the spoils but lots of misery and heartbreak always seemed to linger around. It’s nice to be nice is my new motto

No Len at the moment I don’t think so. But I do think they are a change from the two party joke that’s been ongoing here. The coalition came together to keep Sinn Fein out at all costs and I’m interested to know why. I’m a life long Sinn Fein member and make no hiding of it. They have been infiltrated by some far left fools but as I’ve said before these are the faces the media wants you to see. I’ve spent time in strong Sinn Fein strongholds both north and south and I genuinely believe if they do gain power they will have to face and answer to the people who vote for and support them and by and large they are not far left. Most are probably centre like me

I dont see it, up here as you onow they still play orange v green politik, and from speaking to many catholic friends i have, they cant stand sf for what they support, pure socialism and uncontrolled mass gommiegration

I seen a video last year maybe of a Shinners canvasser getting told to get to f**k in a republican stronghold up there…..like in no uncertain terms he got told !

What’s the alternative Len? The DUP are a laughing stock on the world stage and have no respect from anyone outside their own tiny bubble. I also can’t see where ye are coming to this conclusion that Sinn Fein openly supports uncontrolled immigration if ye could find some proof of that I’d like to see it. Change is the best and only hope anyone can hope for. And please don’t reply with nonsense like ‘what’s about Herman Kelly?’ We live in the real world where fantasy options shouldn’t be considered they only play with people’s heads. If we want to go down that road I for one think myself and Gerard would make a great go of running the country. Both proven records of getting the job done.

Yourself? Other than where you live are you well known across northern Ireland? Would you be going for inclusion for the native peoples or would you be pro invasion by the 3rd world?, what about jobs? Investment? Environmental protections for out fisheries? Lough neagh protection etc? Pro or anti hunt? Pro or anti farming?

Not a dig at you mate, it’s just something I’m always interested in when I read it because I have read and listened to it for years in my own land….but why is an unashamed proper nationalist (from what I can see) a fantasy option ?

It’s as simple as this WILF he won’t get the votes so won’t have a mandate. You might think it’s bananas that he doesn’t get the votes. But unfortunately your views just wont cut the mustard with the majority of the other 6 million voters. As confusing as that may be to you

Oh I know the story mate, it’s the story of my country too.

I just thought I’d ask a lad like you who has obviously been a nationalist (I’m assuming ?) all your life…..because to me, wether he gets the votes or not, he sounds like a proper nationalist so I wondered why he didn’t appeal to nationalists ?

Is it more just a “Brits out” type of thing that appeals to people rather than proper nationalism, that’s the impression I get ?

Sick of hearing this now. Most now aren't made from the same cloth as the older generation. The younger generation of today would much rather f**k each other over. England , Ireland , Scotland and Wales are f****d. There's no coming back.
