Well iv been using ibuprofen for knee pain for years a mate mentioned wrapping cabbage leaves around the knee I don’t know if it’s all in the mind like a gazebo effect but what I do know is the cabbage leaves are staying on the knee

Comfrey or nip bone. 

My dad used to fill a bottle with it and top up with water. It was then left for months and brought out of anyone had an ache or pain. We would have to sit with our sore arm or foot in a bowl of the stinking stuff.
