It's down to education not to touch the drugs also who you mix with special in young people peer pressure you can't always blame the parents I know a family who's granddaughter got hooked on smack they done everything to get her off the stuff even shopping her to the police themselves

No you cannot blame anyone for the things we do ,I've seen lads girls from really rich families that are total scum bags that made every excuse in the world to get money from the parents and then went on to rob them blind and then started selling themselves for as hit,of course I've seen the ones from poorer back grounds but coke ,crack ,smack doesn't care who you are it's going to tear your life apart and your family,

Drug dealers should be hammered,they should be a minimum sentence for class a of 10 years ,it would soon change people's minds to deal shit to are kids

Fun is one thing but anyone with half a brain knows smack is a leap into the abyss…..it’s drummed into everyone all their life, there’s nobody who don’t know exactly what it is !

No it wouldn’t !……as it stands if you get pinched with a few kilos of class A you are getting weighed off with 18 year !

Sentences have never been so harsh and you couple them up with POCA orders and such like, penalty’s are tough mate !

But the money is the attraction and people will always want to experiment and have a good time, always have, always will. 
So you will always have demand and supply ! 

I think the best we can do as parents is change our kids circumstances so they don’t match our own when we was their age……hence, being a dad in the pub aged 35 doing gear probably isn’t setting the best example !

I didn’t give two fucks about the world aged 11 to 24 and I lived that way !……when I became a husband and a a dad I made dam sure my family never had my circumstances, I worked and put us into better things like being together, being involved with their lives at school, church, hobbies, showing them I loved their mum and respected her.

I was lucky in that I knew very well the other side of life in all its forms and so could steer our life away from all that…….the best thing you can give kids is an example not a lecture imho, plus kids ain’t stupid, they know when someone giving them a lecture don’t know what the f**k they are talking about.

Ive always been honest with my children from the ages I deemed it appropriate, I’ve told them “I can talk about this because I’ve been there and what I have now is better !”

Good post that 100% agree...my daughter as she got older ...17....18 ish started to ask about mine and the wife's time in ibiza....and what we got up to....we were honest with her...

educate kids ,I've seen 10 tear old peddle up to a car and pass over bars of shit ,they grow up seeing and being around gear and how much money it can bring in , nothing going to change that fact ,no education no little talks with mummy and daddy nothing because once they with their mates that talk is  forgotten until they get in trouble and they in tears in a interview room with a parent and two plod ,every one thinks there kids different but a lot of parents don't know there children,they only see what the kids shoes at home ,

The problem is the system is to soft on those that need to be hammered and to harsh on those that need help ,

Tomo I was a rave head, started in late 80s and travelled all over UK and Europe and goa 

But we wasn't peddling coke,crack,smack that destroys a life ,that ruins communitys and puts people in their graves

If you say so squire  I’ve sat in a room with a group of Dutch guys as they did Charlie to go up and horse to come down !…..men headed for the abyss in every sense of the word, if the gear didn’t get them something else would and nobody needed much of insight into life to see that’s how it was going to go.

well done Moocher heart breaking work that I’m sures hard to switch of from but when someone does get it it’s worth the losses two young lads in early 20s I worked through the step program with just met up in Thailand one moved to Oz once he got through and they arranged when the other got six month they’d meet that pic of the two of them together clean and sober they posted that’s recovery to me 

Like you mate I went through it ,probably took me bit longer but I come out other side and I look back thinking what a f***ing waste, once I got clean I got a whippet and I made my addiction lamping , ferreting etc doing the stuff I did as a kid with me brothers and I went back to work but felt something missing so started doing voulentry work then got job with criminal justice team then worked for a rehabilitation centre ,

I gave my job up because I couldn't do it anymore I got sick of seeing people one day and hearing they was found on a bench dead few days after they left .

I never judge anyone,all of them have problems none of them was born that way and with help some might turn that corner

I was chatting to some ex junkie geezer years ago and my opinion at the time was “glad you made it, but when you was a degenerate junkie after the first couple of efforts to help you we should have just done away with you because you knew, everyone knows and you made that choice anyway”
