I would genuinely like honest opinions on this.

A bloke on the fishing syndicate I belong to has been charged with possessing indecent images of children. He says he was sent them entirely unsolicited. His case has not come to court yet.

I drove up to the beat this morning just as he was getting out of his car. He said "Good morrning",  but I couldn't bring myself to reply, turned my back and blanked him.

He gets upset and immediately drives home.

So the other guys are split, some say I'm out of order and should wait until the verdict and others say he's got a nerve acting as though nothing has happened.

Maybe I should show him a bit of loyalty and compassion and reserve judgement until the trial. I don't know.

If what he says is true and somebody maliciously sends you an indecent image of a minor, how do you protect yourself?  Can you put a block on receiving such images?

I think you should wait for the verdict, you don’t have to be his best mate but it’s costs you nothing to say “Morning”

The bloke ain’t guilty until convicted !

Presuming guilt on something that isn’t open and shut on the basis of an arrest by a police force that frankly nobody in their right mind trusts anymore is a dangerous thing to do……today it’s him without trial, tomorrow it’s you or anyone of us.

Wait for the facts and the judgment !
