Wolfdog91 7,867
Well Dad has some extra chickens and the wife lives how some of them look so we decided to get a few to go with the quail....and the rabbits ....and the fish ..and soon to be goats.... Anyhow gonna make a little hoop coop tractor. Made two of these in the past all welded but family didn't take care of them and yeah..... But since metal costs more now days gonna go with the wood one. Anyway this is what we're gonna make . Was gonna do a A frame like my quail tractor but wife asked me very nicely not to due to all the cussing I did makingĀ the last one lol. Also these are ment to be moved every day or so instead of being stationary.Ā Most people make them 8'x10' and can have up to 30 birds in one pretty easy with daily movement buuut we're gonna have like 3-5 maybe more so we're make ours a bit smaller 5 wide , 10 long And had to cut the cattle panel down a bit so it want stupid tall. I'm 5'1" wife is 5'3 so 5' was pretty decentĀ Screws and plumbers strap to connect the panelĀ Mis calculated again a bit with the second panel but no biggie in screwed and moved up a bit And some 2x4's for the door and back Mix of 1x6's for theĀ backĀ And some sawzall work And the door ... Think my fitting is getting a little better ....Ā Aannnd chicken wire Still working on the tarp and nesting buckets but we're 98% there And got the wheel set up on last night but might need to get some better ones. Anyhow got a go steal these birds now lol
