Kurds, Iranians, Afghans arent Arabs.

Beduin are Arabs

Beduin derives from the Arabic word Bidu., meaning traveller or wanderer.

Kurds, Iranians Afghans have their own languages and words for nomads

All those countries had nomadic tribes.

Saudi, Iraq, Jordan, modern Syria didn’t exist 100 odd years ago, they were all part of the Turkish Ottoman Empire until The Sykes Picot Agreement between Britain and France, after the First World War.

British diplomats and soldiers bringing back Salukis or taking photos of them will not even have heard of those countries .

The Arabic Beduin had no borders , they travelled throughout Arabia, that explains why my daughter in law has family in Syria, Saudi, Yemen, the UAE, Turkey.

Ive seen Salukis in Saudi with cropped ears. They, as I said, belong, MAINLY , to the Beduin.

Thats my personal experience, you can Google away to try and prove something, I’m not even sure what you’re trying to prove ?

What were they for out of interest mate?

I'm sure industrial food freezers don't go much under minus 20, the one we worked on was being tested at minus 23 and that was below its running temp.

minus 40 must be for something pretty specialist?

I'd say your trying to.mug me off lol own postcode ? Ye that's right i Go  the best land in the country with some the strongest hares I don't have to travel far same if I want to run out it's in me doorstep or go to Ireland to dig fox or stripeys id just  pop out with mates like I would at 13

Alot go in minus 40ish from medical to food fish for example company's buy full catches they are frozen and used for a year or more 2 even. that had to be cold to stop it degrading getting frost bitten

I've seen plenty photos of dogs with one ear cropped...so it's not thorns or cold for those fellas, think it's just a daft custom and like has been mentioned they have big cropped guard/stock dogs
