Another motor I all ways fancied at that age for a dog bus was the Lada Niva. i had a lada niva when i was younger, bloody good motor.....there was nothing luxury about it but it was a really good off road vehicle....it had hi-low and diff locks....i predominantly had it for towing my boat which was a heavy boat which it towed well.... there was a little story behind this lada....after a days fishing we got back to shore along with the other boats out that day, and our boat wasn`t as good looking as some of the other boats, it had a blue cuddy and an orange bottom which didn`t fit in amongst the local snobs.....which had pukka fishing boats, fish finder, radio, navigation, lights the works etc etc....when we walked over to see what they had caught, they didn`t even want to talk to us, we did get a few grunts as answers the snobby gits.....lol anyway, i walked back to get my 4x4 (lada) and trailer then headed down on the beach to pick up our boat, well, it was the final nail in the coffin for us as they come down on the beach in there range rovers....lol so we all loaded our boats and set off up the beach to the ramp, whilst i was heading to the ramp this range rover came roaring past me....he got about 100yds up the beach when his wheel flew off his trailer and the axle was being dragged through the sand...lol lol well, that was it....i wound down my window ready for when we got up along side of him....i just slowed down as we got close, lent out my window pointing and really laughing at him and my mate was hanging over me out the window with his finger up laughing as well, we shouted out ``mate, your wheels falling off``....lol....the look on the snobs face was priceless.....lol we just carried on up the beach....(laughing all the way)....and up the ramp and left the snobs to it.....lol lol
