My wife had a operation last week to remove a possible cancerous growth, I would say 80% of the staff we dealt with in the process were foreign (white/black and every colour in between). We could argue all day we want no immigration, should train our own people etc but ultimately we have to accept certain immigration has made this country better, even though that may be a bitter pill to swallow for some.

I actually want to see illegal immigration stopped to safeguard the 80% of the doctors, nurses and staff at the hospital that weren't British but helped my wife and want to integrate into society before things get too bad and they are tarred with the same brush.            

For me the current wave of patriotism isn't just about one thing its about the effect on the indigenous population of the UK of this and previous governments policies. Having to endure becoming second class citizens in our own country, being tax to the eyeballs to pay for ridiculous amounts of legal and illegal migration and the knock on effect that has for housing etc, suffering two tier injustices (Lucy Connelly) and the general fact we are being constantly lied too and ignored.

Likewise, I’m happy to read your wife is ok.

However, your point that “a certain amount make our country better” I completely disagree with…..the reason we have immigrants doctors and nurses is because that is what we have !……I’ll explain and it’s a discussion I have had many times.

Comments like this about foreign born medical staff absolutely don’t take into account that we mended broken legs and treated TB and took out tonsils and patched up soldiers heads long before the Windrush ever sold a cheap return seat in order to fill a boat !

There is one reason those people are there to save your wife (thank god) and that reason is because it meant we didn’t have to soend money training our own.

A government report from god knows when that is pretty hard to find states that at that time when the report was written it had saved 10 billion quid !……this of course went hand in hand with the ideological destruction of the grammar school system and the movement to the absolute shite comprehensive school system….a system designed exactly like America to not give a pathway to greatness for kids who didn’t come from privileged backgrounds but instead to just make sure eveeyine was as shit as each other ! 
 

Take away from the fact these people are doctors, then their presence here is as much of a benefit as any other part of the 3rd world…..which is in fact no benefit at all.

This could all be done by indigenous Doctors and Nurses but we didn’t want them, it’s not worth investing in our own youth just like it hasn’t been worth investing in our own nation…..just like our miners and steel workers and dockers and engineers and manufacturing etc etc etc…..we did away with our own people for the medical profession as well. 
 

When I go to the doctor, I don’t see a single non white Irish doctor and there’s 8 of them in the local practice..same story at the hospital ! 
 

Nobody is doing you any favours because your medical people are foreign.

Your right and it's our governments that allowed them in to take advantage of are once great country.

I remember watching the news when the Berlin wall came down and my dad saying "they will migrate like rats " and he wasn't wrong.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. If Brits want to emigrate and be doctors and nurses abroad then that's their choice. I can imagine the outcry now if Labour said they were going to increase our taxes so we can try and attract our doctors and nurses to stay.

not got problem with paying bit more in tax as long as it's for right reasons,

UK government can send millions to Ukraine so they can afford to give doctors nurses pay rise.

The biggest thing wrong with the NHS is that it’s untouchable and they know it…..hence they can spend £100k a year on a diversity officer while you sit in A&E for 15 hours !
