Just a normal protein feed for me mate all that 30 percent grain based feed is no good I don't think the kidney may struggle breaking it all.down  and your getting issues 

High protein could cause lactic acid I think mate but tbere will be an expert on here knows  more

Acidosis ?.  Did he tell you to give her electrolytes and keep her hydration up . If it's Acidosis at that age I'd be extremely concerned.  Sorry

Haaaaaaaa your confidence makes me happy mick . Which in return fills me with glee . The thought of seeing your upside down smile on your east wind blown face as you watch what you already disbelieve lol . 

Mate , if seen it . Mostly from fools running early season in temperatures above 11 degrees.  And feeding crazy protein diets . As you say there's only so much the kidneys can do pal . Very very few come back from it as you know

I’ve been talking to lads and the general consensus is acidosis is caused, mainly , by over running an unfit dog.

Seems strange for a 13 week old pup to suffer from it , maybe its something else ?

No serious is rooney unfit when he cramps up in a cup.final ?

Who was the bone man? As there some right con merchants out there. I’d take it too a vet and get a Propper diagnosis. What was the pup’s original symptoms to make you take her to a bone man ?

A vet would take blood see if out was up.thata maybe best

Alan from Wigan. Done greyhound racing all his life.  Know other people lads that have used him and he’s been spot on. Helped me with another dog. Took her there first because I noticed her going stiff in her back legs at night. So thought get her a once over. He said all the legs and everything fine just got some built lactic acid in her saddle muscle. Told me what to give her to help. When you run your hand/fingers over her saddle muscle you can see her twitch so what he’s said make sense. And I reckons as she grows or once she’s grown she’ll be fine he wasn’t worried about it.

Bi carb on the pups meal will sort it mate, had a lurcher that used to come back from a hard run and sometimes lie down and squeal. Teaspoon of bicarb on his food everyday sorted it. Strange I know but it worked.

MUCH to high protein for a pup. Find a lower protein food. You will find a lot of your problems will go away
