But going back to your original little dig at deerhounds...you said they need crossing with something else to make anything good.... My point is....that's why we breed lurchers of whatever flavour....to go away from pures...the mixing of two breeds or more gives us something better than a pure... Now all your doing is is running a pur sal....yeh it might be top notch at hares...but will it be top notch at anything else... Deerhound lurchers are bred as something to do a bit of all sorts....are they going to beet a specialist...at it own game...no of course not... And to take this one step further....we/you...do this with coursing types....if there's something slightly lacking you look for a stud with that attribute yours is lacking...out cross to another line to improve what you got... 7 Quote Link to post
