Probably the same as official greyhound coursing. Points for the run up, for the turn , for the wrench and for the kill. If I remember correctly it was only 1 1/2 points for the kill but 3 points for the run up and two points for the rest. It was matching dog against dog , not dog against hare. Cheers. 1 Quote Link to post

Yeh judge on horseback...same as greyhound coursing......16 dog steak so the dogs that get to final run 4 hares... So in theory a dog could get to final without killing....however Sally killed all 3 of her hares in the heats..to get to the final 2 Quote Link to post

That said I only have the vendors word on that....and being as I bought her at 2 year old from a cattle market..its possible there could be other stuff in there... In my brief chat with the fellow...I did ask him about the breeding and what work she had done....he told me he was big in to the saluki types and coursing...and she wasn't quite good enough as she couldn't stay for anything more than about 3 minutes probablydown to her breeding ...hence him selling her...he was supposed to meet someone at the market who was buying her...but the chap never turned up....hence me buying her for £60.... The look on my Mrs face was priceless...I went to pick her up from the leisure centre where she was having them water aerobic classes for pregnant women she was about 8 month preggers....and stretched out on the back seat was Sally making herself at home.. 1 Quote Link to post
