What has any of this got to do with the original discussion?

Chid said he declined the offer of a duty solicitor in the police station. Then said at two court appearances he had solicitors for free.

mC asked how’s that ?

Franks dad said Legal Aid .

Nothing to do with Released under investigation or bail or magistrates or crown courts. 
A duty solicitor offered in a police station is completely different to asking for Legal Aid to pay for your defence when appearing at court .

I know threads meander but this is now miles away from the original discussion .

I’ll end up with dementia trying to get it into your head that being offered a duty solicitor at a police station IS NOT the same as applying for Legal Aid to pay for your defence at a court appearance.

No mate became they have have things they can do they couldn't if you were released 

You used to get charged Or bailed and they had a limited a time to ccharge you while on bail or you get a no further action 

Now there no time limit so a witness can change there mind later for.example

Mate I get caught coursing go  to.court the same solicitor I had at copshop Is there at court I need to do.nothing that's a fact mate yiu for nothing sort nothing it's all done

But if they just released you , not on bail , and not under investigation.  Does that mean that they can't then re arrest you , and charge you ?.

I find it hilarious that someone thinks that a criminal who gets caught every time has more knowledge of the law than one who avoids arrest every time !
