I can't use the quality of solicitor gnash uses on legal aid Wrong again! Duty Solicitor at a police station isn’t the same thing as legal aid ! It could happen that one person , like Gnash , pays for a solicitor because he doesn’t get legal aid, whereas someone who can’t afford a solicitor could get the same solicitor on legal aid. I dint see why it’s so difficult, it’s your right to ask for a DUTY SOLICITOR at a police station, but it’s not everyone’s right to get a LEGAL AID solicitor if you can afford to pay for one. This is just going round in circles. Duty Solicitor and Legal Aid to fight your case are two different things. Cheers.

Im not saying dont give a no comment interview you said about refusing to go to interview at all and thats just wrong.....beyond what your brief will make them legally disclose anything else can only come out in an interview that you and your brief must be present at.

You can bring in your own , paid , solicitor if you want and think they would do a better job than the duty solicitor. Legal aid is means tested. If you can afford a solicitor you can’t get legal aid. If you cant afford a solicitor, you can get legal aid. Why you are conflating duty solicitor with legal aid, two different things , is beyond me ! Cheers.

Chid said he never had a duty solicitor at the police station but was at court twice and never paid for a solicitor who represented him. You said how’s that. Franks Dad said legal aid. You didn’t understand the difference between duty solicitor and legal aid. when it was explained to you, you won’t accept it and started moving the talking about “duty free solicitors” ! Your digging a deeper and deeper hole instead of just saying “ah, ok, I get it now “ LOL ! Cheers.
