We used to make pure alcohol and to turn it into “Cointreau “ we would 3/4 fill a sealable jar with the alcohol and hang an orange just above the liquid The alcohol would suck the orange dry until it looked like a walnut , and take up all the flavour. I haven’t got any fruit trees, but I like lemon cucumber in a G & T. They are about the shape and size of a tennis ball, I might give growing one of them in a jar then fill it with gin !
