Near enough 3/4 . Bred down off torr oh dartmoor. Never seen stamina like it . Admittedly she was a freak. Plenty seen her . Had to give her a run to settle her . But run as many as you liked and bigger land the better . Useless in thick cover . But that bitch woulda shocked you to the soles of your dunlops 6 Quote Link to post

A heavily bred grehound dog on good going will get to a hare first . Scottish and Irish lads relied on grehound blood for a reason. To get to its prey before cover . Now, heavily influenced saluki bred dogs generally have more steam . Hence the match men wanting best of 5 , putting them at an advantage . Why change ? . People changed the rules to accommodate more stamina . A good 3/3 regular dog far outweighs a plough lizard 2 Quote Link to post

Disagree. Look at the comps lately. Dogs winning comp and 4 hares killed and won them it through an entire comp . . Question mick . Why did sanky and nuttal not run 5 . They did on occasion. But for fitness. Every dog will cock . Some quicker than others if pushed . Poor poor dog men out there . If you know what you've got in your kennel . You know what you've got in your kennel Edited May 28 by The drover Quote Link to post
