I know lads that never touched a f***ing spliff growing up...had the big house,Mrs and kids,good job etc....start sniffing late 30's/40's ,then they try the pipe....with in a 12 month...they begging and shoplifting razor blades, knocking the doors

Part of the wider degradation of western society’s isn’t it mate, look at the United States ?

Its decline and I personally don’t think decline and a gargantuan influx of the 3rd world are unrelated ?

Cant speak for the reasoning behind the United States but I’d guess globalisation and deindustrialisation along with a readiness to embrace base nature cultures would have a lot to do with it.

Smack and crack ran wild through my little town back in the late 80s early 90s and the only 2 darkies in our town had both been adopted and brought up by old white couples and were one of us.The mad thing is most of the smack heads called us druggies at school for smoking a bit of rocky.Must of the stones went on to become ravers whilst them lot ended up shoving needles in their arms

Have you watched the Paul Weller documentary ?……he was speaking about something that happened around 1979 and he says something that I think is pretty profound, he says “that was the time before we all became American…..” 

I think there’s a lot in that…..

Should have stabbed him twice. The vigilante gangs were going around baseball batting them. There was one smackhead who generally got away with it because he was the only one I've ever known who was a functional junkie and one who actually worked to feed his habit. He used to hunt with my uncle and his mates back in the 80's before turning to that deadly addiction. He did come out the other side and is now fully recovered, well as much as you can recover from that addiction.

I know a family their granddaughter got hooked on smack it was hell for her mother she kicked her out she went to live at her grandparents they had to call the police if she never came home they even had to handle her benefit money for her stop her from getting it she got caught robbing a woman by a bus stop outside a hospital and her family where at court and the judge sentenced her they were pleased to get her in prison and sorted out as she did
