No bother mush, why would you not recommend the all inclusive that you said?

Just not my scene mate. Loads of Brits, Dutch, Germans etc all eating beige food all day, drinking shit beer and watered down spirits

If you do choose somewhere here, I’m happy to meet up and show you a bit of the real Spanish/Catalan culture/food ;) Some beautiful churches around too…. Right up your street

I won’t be blading or bringing the dickhead

If you do choose the areas mentioned. Fly into Girona and there are special buses direct to the resorts. May work out cheaper buying the resort, flights etc separate rather than the whole package. The bus is around 10€ per person and takes you where you need to be ;)

Lovely, I stayed Atlantis before but prefer Sofitel right next door.. French Polynesian type place really nice not to busy. Trying think of something special to do on the anniversary night sick of meals

What are you after mate?

Like Mack said pick a place, book flights and airb&b it. I know a great place in Gran Canaria and another in Split.

Some fantastic places up the coast from me. Away from the tourists but with great public transport into the city/tourist areas if you fancy it. If you’re after a beach but with plenty nearby check out San Pol de mar. If you pick something near me I’m happy to meet you at the airport (El Prat) and get you on your way to where you need to be ;)

I've got a week with the Grandkids in Pineda del Mar middle of August, really looking forward to it.

Lovely mate. There’s some good restaurants in Calella. One (Argentinian) does or used to do a parilla de carne (mixed grill).

If you get the R1 train, go south towards Barcelona (10-15mins) to San Pol de Mar. some very good restaurants there (couple with Michelin stars I think). There’ll be way less tourists, mainly locals. When you get to the beach from the train (1min), facing the sea go to the end at the right. But don’t go past the rocks lol it’s nudists . Near the train there is a nice bar that does good snacks (you cannot miss it, it’s infront of you as you leave the station). Infront of that bar is a Dia (Kwik save type) shop where you can get beers, ice, snacks etc next door to the bar is a Chinese bazaar type shop where you can get beach stuff for the kids, lilos etc ;)

A favourite of mine is this one Restaurant El Molí

Up to you mate but I’d advise against cameras

Best thing about that beach is barely any tourists, plenty of space and no looky looky guys. You may get the odd one selling blankets but it’s rare and they don’t bother you the way they do on the tourist beaches ;)

Anything you need, suggestions, help with transport etc just ask. No problem mate ;)
