I was chatting to a few old pals over the last couple of weeks, like most of us they are all at a certain age (between 50s & 80s) 

Now these blokes would have been grafters, knew how to get a few quid doing perfectly legal things but maybe not too up on handing over most of it to the government, dealt mostly in cash etc.

Now, whatever anyone may think of that these blokes over their lifetime generated a lot of money…..and where did they spend it ?……in their communities of course, they didn’t hide it under the bed, they then passed it on to the local garden centre, car dealer, tradesman and all the other myriad things we all spend our money on……They earned it and spread it around.

They didn’t sell drugs or rob banks or exploit anyone….they just bought and sold things, cleared places, worked all the hours when there was money to be earned because it was worth it.

Now in all the conversations we had lately, I asked (as you always do) “how’s things, busy ?” all of them said “no, just ticking along now days because it’s not worth it”

They have been almost completely shut down by rules and regulations and those ways of doing business are almost gone…….all that money, energy, spirit just disappeared out of the local economy and wider society…..amazing !

What good did it do taking a bloke chucking a hundred grand a year into his local area out of circulation ?…….

I don’t f***ing get it, I really don’t ?

Crackin post, and I agree, but even if them guys or anybody else wanna save every last shekel or note under the mattress, or even throw it on the fire, who fcuk  are we to say otherwise it’s there money

Thing is no matter how hard you graft now you won't end up with any under the mattress.  By the time everyone has had a slice of the pie there's nothing left. Capitalism is out of control and the small guys get swallowed up and spat out, just cannon fodder meanwhile the multi nationals and seriously  wealthy individuals are getting bigger and more wealthy. Trickle down economics is a joke . Nothing trickles down it rushes up the way.
