I did have a saluki bull grey that would run alongside em . Pick em up by the scruff of neck and lift em like a rabbit and carry on running. That dog showed me how to hunt I just put it infront of him. My two pennys worth on munty is get them out in a field yes there easy pickings to catch but not easy once a dog has hold, it's obviously not a fallow but for a small deer they can give some stick. It's riddled with them by me but good sport in the day . In the daytime around cover . Different story . They hit any cover at 100 mph . They love to double back on themselves . I've seen them squat in long grass with a dog up its arse then when the dog passed it was back the way it came. Your dog needs a bit of heart especially with a buck . I've seen a few dogs loose grip. You deffo don't want a leg grabber as they don't half make some racket
