A kid shared on FB the other month a black & tan coursing bred pulling a fallow buck on the lamp. They just have to find the knack to pull them over and have the bottle to take the licks to be good deer dogs.

Never hunted them my self but a couple of men I know who have said they hedge hug and will do their best to battle we a dog , unlike a roe for instance that fly like rockets but knock over easy and stay down we a bit of pressure

Had a bitch near killed bye a roe buck poked her 6 times with its antlers …. Don’t matter the species in my opinion some are just difrent gravy and don’t just lay down also had a dog knocked out cold bye a roe ….if you do enough of em youl come across some that won’t just lay down

lol i just laugh at the shite on here daily just fantasy men talking pure dog shit none stop.

Your the biggest talker of it mcknowitall, but the real reason i know about running the smaller deer is because iv'e walked the walk for a few years  hunting pretty much small deer only and a muntie buck who's game will give a dog more stick than a roe buck would when caught up with .A saluki type dog might hit cover hard but it's not built for it and it'll break at some point, that's a fact and no matter how much fairy dust you try to chuck we all know how a dogs build affects it's quarry choice...

let’s see if any shitty arses take the bet dc lol

il stand on what i said with the bet and i’ll laugh like f**k when a skinny saluki bred trips a big beast by the front leg like it’s done it a million times  while there there big daft things pulling at stomachs hanging off arses lol lol it’s going to comical viewing lol

I'd say it would be comical  viewing seeing your skinny saluki bred being dragged about at the end of a dig tho barking it's box of lol

90% or more of the ones I've seen since a kid,are good for a Sunday morning dig....but use them a few times a week and a few nights lamping ...and they get picky, you see them start grabbing stuff by the arse, that they used to Muller with ease😉

I've seen the odd saluki x that hated foxes but never known one that had a taste for brock...

One of the best drawing dogs I've seen was a Welsh springer spaniel 😁done more than most half xs👍
