I wouldn’t know but I’d say if your going to go out and stab someone it’s not the type of thing that gradually escalates , it’s an act of violence that is predetermined 

Must admit every knife I've encountered got pulled very quickly right at the start of the altercation...and other weapons

i agree mate but also lads have them threw fear dont they loads kill people not meaning to threw fear a knife aint as good as a ratchet or bar say at slowing someone down so they panic before they no it the person full of holes

Strange really I have a Leatherman or a pocket knife on me most of the time not as protection just as a tool. From an early age when I joined the Cubs and later the Scouts in the 1950's we were encouraged to carry a knife. You know one of them knifes with a marlinspike on them for taking boyscouts out of horseshoes lol.

Seriously though we were told to have a pocket knife a piece of string and a shilling in our pockets. Most of the lads I used to shoot, ferret and fish with would have a pocketknife on them even when out for a pint. Never used to threaten anybody with only came out to cut a stick, sharpen a pencil or gut a rabbit etc.

Christ I used to walk in a pub after being out shooting with a shotgun put it behind the bar play card and drink all night then walk home half pissed with the gun just broken over my arm. Seems mad but thats how it was walk through town with a gun was just done, not every body had a car.

I miss them days everybody knew everybody nicer place. Of coarse we had the odd weekend bundle on the weekend but the was part of the entertainment back then but no knifes or glasses. Think most of then scraps was that bloody Taunton Natural Dry Cider seen mates knock seven bells out of each other when on that stuff ( most pubs band it after a while).

Swings in roundabouts. It's a known fact. Not all these lads that carry the knife's have the minerals to stick it in someone. When you've got lads that will take the chance with a lad with a knife. Not all of them carry knifes. You have a guy carrying a decent size chocker chain. That can wrap around that blade and disharm the c**t. Then he's f****d. Trust me when a say them chocker chains are deadly open you up like f**k. Few hits of that over your head will open you up. Plus you can't get done for carrying a dog lead .

The thing is most these lads that go to a fight with a knife even if they don’t use it and are just waiving it about giving it the big un it insights retaliation at a later date and it’s usually with a knife because you’ve already determined the type of fight you want so the retaliation is with a knife. I just don’t get it you could potentially kill somebody over a bit of money that’s probably not all that much then doing a stretch and loosing your freedom

My boy as soon as he leaves the house its like theirs cctv all over town so many people know everybody kid and always keep everybody updated if their up to no good . First time my boy went out on his bike on his own I had messages off friends telling me he's popping wheelies off curbs and being a little shit . He fell off his bike down the skatepark by me and I got a phone call 2 mins after from people from the cricket team to come check on him because he is crying 

When I was young we had freedom. My mate at 7years old carried me from nearly the middle of no where half a mile with a broken leg! My mum slapped me and said thank you to our Kevin

Me and my brother were scrapping upstairs and in the process he ripped my shirt.  I went downstairs and my dad asked me what happend and I said jack ripped my shirt.  He called my brother got called downstairs and got a major bollocking for ripping my clothes , he turned to me and clipped me round the head and lost it with me for grassing up my brother " loose lips sink ships " . I'll never forget when he told me that . Forever after when me and my brother fought we kept it to ourselves
