I was happy with the one's I owned over the years for knock about pot filling lurchers and hardy rarely picking up injuries despite being run and lamped regular. A pic of sire and one of his offspring after a mooch around the doors in the 80s about the end of October both working together on smallish wooded land.

It's a cross i like tbh . My old lurchers in the past were a mix of these breeds and were good honest dogs that were worked hard lamping and running Heather moorlands without any serious injuries.

These are beddy/grey x collie/grey.

I can never understand grown men putting young kids down. Sad feckers.

That dog with the white feet looks familiar, tats.

Did you have pics of him in the shooting news?

I did eventually outcross the type to a saluki greyhound. I sometimes wonder what the offspring might have made put to a pure saluki. I reckon that's how the merlin eve types came about by lads crossing good hardy knockabout lurchers to the ultimate running dog the saluki for single handed hare catching.

I ended up letting a mate have her and he used to go round the shows in the summer and I remember seeing a picture of her with my mate on the NLRC stand at one show so could have ended up in the shooting news mate.
