When I asked you for your honest  opinion  in pm , what regions you thought had the best dogs and men you named  them top to bottom

1- north east

2- south of england

3 - Irish

4- Scottish

5- midlands

Coursing wise , 20 years ago , the north day was king , but in reality if I was ever after another running dog , bull x or coursing or a thing to chuck at anything , I wouldn’t contemplate getting anything from north of London

nothing gets the hammer that those southern lads give to there stuff

nowt is getting hammered like the southern dogs at the present time , I wouldn’t tolerate a bull x from north of London in anyway .

I’m not interested in discussing dogs from a quarter of a century ago.

most of the top dogs from the era discussed were from the north of England which I class as a line from Manchester to hull.

lamping dogs down south have more hammer than anywhere else that’s a fact no one can refute , there’s a reason lamping matches are held there . The idea that bull xs from up north are in the same league as any from the south coast area is laughable . Bull x work up north is not on the same table as how dogs are getting worked .

I deal in brass tacks , not lineage of nearly thirty years ago

No

the prey dictates it

bull x from up north aren’t getting tested like ones from down south that’s a fact

True

but the north of England was deadly for keen men with really good dogs in the era we are discussing

Stiffy; are you alluding to bull x’s down south being tested on big quarry such as the larger species of deer and boars ?

The prey dictates it if the added prey is larger deer and boar which I've done while over  there's nothing factual about it that's  not testing a bull lurcher in my eyes imo deer and boar majority will do it how many of them same dogs  will belly 3 or 4 proper things and not walk about with it by the ear or being a throat holder
