A good and a bad day all in one..

Wee Monday off and away down the A1 to meet a couple of boys with their mutts, bit of a disaster I lost 2 Jill’s as they managed to escape the carrier and had about an hour to evade spent a bit time looking for them even with the thermal but to no avail, gutted, but lesson learned… the hard way.

 

ended the day with 29 rabbits a few digs but most bolted to the long nets and dogs

Shame about the stinkers,  but atleast  they  won't starve with few rabbits to up there. Apart from there collars  on, is there any other way you can track  a ferret?.like say with dogs you can find them , in your phone  if they waring tracking  collars.

I have a locator for when they are below ground but nothing otherwise

What we’ve done in the past is left a rabbit trap with a bit of grub in it and a small blanket, left it at the last spot they were lost came back in the morning and the ferret was curled up asleep

Hi mate, going forward this is the plan but we were 60 odd miles from home, because this is keepered land the outcome won’t be good for them

Not the outcome I wanted but I was expecting, the keeper did say he will grab them if he sees them but unfortunately my wee albinos fate was sealed by trap

Same , put an old tammy in cage . Shelter it and usually get them next day . Got an old jill back 8 days later once . Think she had to eat her way past up a single end . . Unlucky ross
