I know the league don’t lie, but I personally don’t look at them and go “wow, who is stopping these dudes ?” I think Saka and this almost untouchable quality within that starting 11 is a weakness, I think when you buy a Geyokeres you have to Compliment him with proper wingers who are going to deliver into the box. They overplay around the box something terrible for my liking. I think, if they don’t win it this year it has to be considered a disaster ! Id say a change would definitely be in order then, it’s not like they are some mid table team grinding out best effort year after year to just stay alive, this has been a long term, considered project that has had plenty of time and a fortune of money thrown at it….there are literally no excuses.

Completely agree mate, the 2 best cente backs in the league, Rice is quality.. but the rest, I dunno, even Odergard ain't that special imo.. I know we all wear Rose tinted glasses but those Wenger sides were on another level, Arsenal were boring before and they are too 1 dimensional now for me, they don't get you up off your seat fo they.. I loved Klopps Liverpool, that high pressure style and the pace up front... ill be honest and say as much as I admired Peps team 3 or 4 seasons ago, it wasn't the type of football I enjoy, like Arsenal now, the continuous recycling of the ball got too repetitive for me...get a winger to beat his man and put it in the box... id say UTD in the last few weeks have at least played entertaining football I think Arsenal 2ill fluff it, its what they do now lol... and Arteta will be out

The are either given players in situations that they may have no choice, or scout their own and have to justify it. Transfer fees and wages must be justified or you are not doing your job, and are sacked. Giving an under 21 a start in an EPL game and you lose the game? Stick with him and you lose another game... not only the owners but often the supporters want the manager's blood. Stability within the club is the only way it can work. Have a competent manager, have owners who understand the game and trust the people that they have appointed, invest in developing the kids, and be brave enough to give them a chance. You mention fans there and I’m glad you did, it’s something that has been on my mind for a while…..as a rule of thumb, aren’t premier league fans a bunch of absolute f***ing mongs now days ? Some of the utter shit you see them saying on social media is cringe worthy…..like, they literally have never played a game since school ! Absolute play station generation stuff, they seem to actually care about this utter drivel they pump out on sky sports, about slow motion fouls, about soppy as f**k ref decisions and big toes maybe offside ! Like it’s f***ing nonsense ! And all this booing your side because they got done in by a team who were obviously better on the night, what’s all that about ? Are they watching the same games I’m watching ?, do they have any idea of the technicality’s around football ? Like lads used to understand football once upon a time, and you’d recognise a lazy player or when someone wasn’t giving enough and he would get a telling….but whole stadiums of fans booing their own team because they got done by a better side ? I remember getting pumped by Arsenal and Thierry Henry got a standing ovation from our fans, same happened at Pompey….we wasn’t booing our team off the pitch because we understood football ! Breaks me ! Edited February 13 by WILF
Blackmag 6,971
I agree about alot of prem fans now there like spoilt kids when they're getting beat they even boo in the first half when I use to go home and away alot I knew most of the time we would get done but if they tried it didn't matter unless it was your rival club you would stay till the end and clap them off now they leave the ground if it looks like they are going to lose walking out before half time sometimes what's that about or going on there phones whilst games on we have never been in the prem and if we did go up I wouldn't go on one game listening to all the Jonny come lately going on about nothing I would prefer to go and watch flyde and still with like minded lads 1

They had a couple of chances to play gyokeres in over the top last night instead played it sideways instead of giving him the service he thrives on like haaland gets at city I think city will catch them because arsenal don't put teams away when they should it's like every goal has to be perfect 2

There has been no bollocks behind a single thing we have done manager wise imho. Moving was a blow to the heart for lads like you, you should have at least got a “hello?, what’s this?” to get behind to ease the pain. Didnt see this bit....i think those first years they went with the old " bird in the hand worth two in the bush " mentality and i get that,it would have been disastrous to get relegated those first years and something as a club we might not have recovered from so safe hands back then i get.....but now,yes i agree, particularly if we go down...hence in my opinion it wont be the worst thing in the world if we do get relegated.

Yes i think they'll stick with him mate in my opinion Arsenal have always been a classy club who have certain standards they wont drop below,,,,apart from the Villa manager i forget his name now, they have never been a club with a high turnover of managers.....i know Wenger still has a lot of sway at the club and i reckon he would appreciate what it takes to build a side like that i cant see Arteta going anywhere regardless,do you ? By the way i was kinda hoping young Mr Carrick would surface round these parts again do you think Utd will stick with him ?......try and edge him down this way if not

Always that one pass too many even Declan was guilty of it last night......his game has certainly come on though mate wouldnt you agree.....powerful running with the ball reminds me a bit of Gerrard the way he covers the ground if thats not an England captain of the future i dont know what is......but im not convinced they have the forward threat real top clubs must have as you say Saka is like a busted flush now and that Gykores whatever his name is,not sure if he can really make things happen.....Trossard is a tricky little player but im surprised they dont start more games with Martinelli he always looks like he wants to get after defenders at least.....going forward they always look to me like they want to slow everything down to a snails pace rather than going at defences with speed and momentum........anyway im rambling !

Not rambling at all chief, I think all that is on the money. As far as Declan is concerned, I think we always knew this is what he should have been allowed to do all along, that he had this in his game. Just my opinion, but we wasted him at our club, mostly by just having him sit and fight fires but more criminally because we never went and built a team around him…….thats the story of us though isn’t it mate, Cole, Carrick, Lampard, Defoe, Ferdinand…it’s what we do.

I think Declan Rice as been there best signing for a long time were moyse had him more restricted arteta has given him that freedom to push forward more and he has a goal or two in him that young lad that came in at the back last night had another good game and that was a good tackle at the end to stop brentford scoring
