All the bar scenes were done in the Barking Dog Pub at the track as far as I’m aware. I knew everyone on the program, and I’ll be seeing some of them tomorrow at Westerhope whippets, still racing well over 50 years later. 
There may have been scenes shot at other clubs/pubs, that didn’t make the cut.

Incidentally I recall Mrs Forest at junior school insisting pupils roll the faux grey fur back on the hoods of their blue parkas to lessen the chance of being ran over on the walk home after school Circa 1984, I bet Charts remembers the blue parkas

When I was a mod with a Lambretta, I had a genuine ex US Army fishtail parka. 
Still got a couple of parka’s hanging up in the man cave, including a very nice ex Swedish army “winter jeep coat “.

I had loads of incarnations: teddy boy, brylcreem and suede brothel creepers ( aping my older brothers). Mod_ Ben Shermans  , stay press trousers, parkka and crombie over coat. Skinhead_  together with Doc Martins and levi jacket and jeans  ( and  racist attitude).Weekend hippy, hair to my shoulders, tie dye and flares. Correction, I think  skinhead came before the metamorphosis to mod.

But through it all I remained true to myself. I was always a prick.

We was lucky to have shoes on our feet and coats on our backs, how the other half must have lived.
