DSC_0772.JPG.8152dd790c96fd7d1c5f9f826cc4cd35.JPGmine are in an old 3.5m x 2 m dogrun, used 14 mm marine ply at the front of the mesh, stop them getting out,the door into it,is split,so you step over into it, plenty of places for them to sleep, lay about and not overheat....also important  theres no draughts or driving rain can get in👍DSC_0690.JPG.c8a3c7d485424f9e6d97b94877c25ccb.JPG

I've not kept ferrets for about eleven years now, but, of the various types of accommodation I gave them, the best was always a shed with a mesh door. On my second incarnation of this I put a baffle in front of the door but the little buggers worked out exactly which rocks, logs etc to climb on so that they could take a flying leap just as I opened the door! No matter how I moved the interior decor around they'd work out a new plan for escape within a few days.

Edited to add: the mesh panels were simply aviary panels with a door which opened from a foot or so from ground level.

It's just the middle section cut out of a barrel. They can be found free dotted around the countryside usually with three legs bolted on and get topped up with grain now and again usually by a miserable old bellend 😉

Looks good gnipper 👍 I did the same but smaller hutch and only the floor. Makes it load easier to clean doesn’t absorb any smell/damp in timber.
