Why can’t you just put your point across in a normal way without slagging peoples dogs off that you haven’t seen? That’s what I was thinking, the only thing he’s changed is put a pure greyhound in to freshen the blood and that then opens the door to start folding all his own dogs in again. It seems to have done some high class day walkers no harm at all in the past. I’d sooner use a pure to freshen blood than a lurcher that may unknowingly have for instance saluki blood or whippet blood in it, nothing against either breeds but by using a pure greyhound you’re at the very least eliminating any what ifs. 6 Quote Link to post

Exactly, but Gooey conveniently 'forgets' that his own saluki/coursing types are bred down from dogs that have all sorts in them, deerhound, bedlington, collie, Irish terrier, whippet, even a dash of bull blood, allsorts, when he's slating other people's dogs!! If I wanted to run daytime hares I would have dogs for that purpose. What people like yourself don't seem to understand is not every lurcher owner wants a coursing dog to run hares during the day on fens. I love to hear and watch all aspects of running dogs taking quarry from a whippet running rabbits right up to any cross taking the biggest quarry. Your breed blind it's horses for courses.
