not really in much a what we have today are they mate knightellington and windswift is what i would a gone for back then and rewuis certainly werent sold to the common man we’re they or run as single handed dogs mate 

 

and i can’t see ruweis having many that could kill half a dozen hares in a day mate with 2 never mind one lol

Not the point; if people like Karen’s father hadn’t imported Salukis from the Middle East, you’d all still be running deerhound crossed ! LOL !

so shearer was from maybe the best hare coursing dog ever lived and a pure saluki deacon 

all the saluki blood in both was worked at some point were chart ?  same spots i run today lol 

and  there ancestors were put to greys or lurchers here aswell mate

no mate no lads here run deerhound crosses mainly big strong coursing greyhound lines that could stop a few but mainly raced for money on old aerodromes which there was hundreds 

few had grews  aswell mainly used for rabbits 

back then as you’ll know mate  men fed familys  on meat they caught and  shot most had a runner

What on earth has that got to do with this thread ?

The original poster asked opinions on mating his coursing bred bitch with a non-ped whippet, I gave my opinions and an example of a non-ped, iIndian Joe, being in the line of some top class coursing dogs.

crack on with thread i’m out mate got dogs to walk 

blinkers ? i thank my lucky stars mine work and i don’t get duped into thinking a grew will add out to me dog apart from the ability of it to be laid up ffs lol

The Slacks and many others ran deerhound crosses around Selby and Drax for years.
