Do you not think that a lot of scouse accents are kinda exaggerated? i certainly find that with the lads I work with

From what I've read they say those from south Liverpool have accents more like the Beatles and scouse in north Liverpool. But Bootle is about as far north as Walton where McCartney grew up so that doesn't make sense.

I have learned the following: brummie accents generally belong to retarded people. A fallout with a Glaswegian accent often heralds a violent attack, by a gang of poison dwarfs waiting round the corner. Trust me I know. The northern Ireland accent is an accent you should hear, but immediately retreat from... unless you want to confront a religiously inspired nutjob on jihad. Geordies are generally OK if you can keep up with their genetically superior alcohol consumption, blind allegiance to black and white and some god called SHEERAH! Liverpulians can only be understood if you've worked with a high pitched chainsaw for a few months...then it becomes understandable. My accent was initially Salfordian but I've picked up a lot of Scots twang. This has made me a tad schizophrenic because I am referred to as an English b*****d in Scotland and a scotch c**t in England. Even my Mrs says I'm a sellout because I change my accent to be quickly understood. She on the other hand, also a Salfordian, still sounds like Ena Sharples. Ffs don't tell her I said that. Accents yeah lol . we have it hard in our house as we have a different accent each . both my misses and me are from Galloway Irish families and are the first born in England to at least one English parent in our wider families . We have one English grandparent between us. My mam was born in longtown, and will die there , but she has a lovely lilting mixed Scot’s accent as she was born to my Scottish granny and they lived near Lockerbie until she was at school . Firstly I am from so close to the border that the accent changes at the end of my road . I have that strange borders voice that changes o into an a eg I say lang instead of long and wha instead of who , I also use the word like at the end of the sentence eg na , I havnae seen hum , I was at wuk the day like . my misses is a Carlisle girl and has developed a clipped formal english phone voice with years of working in telesales . Her voice however @jukel123descends into a proper Carlisle accent dependent on how many blue wkds she has had. my kids were born and raised in Suffolk and have a mixed southern English with clipped American pronunciation most kids these days have , my daughters is lest pronounced but my boy talks straight off as a mimic and sounds like a you tube presenter . lastly my mothers fella , is a born and bred Rotherham man , he had that howling down t’pit accent straight from Kes. yeah Sunday dinner needs a rossetta stone book some times
