I would suggest the first thing we do is disqualify anybody who desperately  wants to become an mp. There's something dodgy about these people.

Mps should be co_ opted. We might then get people we can trust.

I have thought for a while now that it should be like jury service, a random pick of 10 people in each constituency and then people vote for whichever person they think may be best.

No party’s allowed ?

It's legal, just like fox hunting and coursing used to be legal ! Tax avoidance loopholes are made by the rich and powerful, for the rich and powerful........just because it's legal, doesn't make

It said she is paying all relevant tax on her U.K. income so what’s the problem ? I f***ing loath the main parties but I honestly can’t see any problem at all, it’s the usual “I’m getting f****d

Bit different when her husband is the greedy c**t though isn't it? He's happy to put up taxes on the ordinary working bod who has no chance of dodging it without getting bent over while knowing that h

Many people in britain are now in a situation where its eating or heating, they said corbyn would wreck the country? you can see why the media moved heaven and earth to get this load of scum in, proud moment for you who voted for them.

Tax is a very necessary obligation.

Without tax how do we pay for defence, the NHS, ambulance , police and fire services, rubbish collection, street lights, etc ?

Tax evasion and avoidance means less money for those services, and a bigger burden for the taxpayer.

Of course it's far from perfect and needs reform.

Of course money could be saved elsewhere, I've never understood why we as a country borrow money, pay interest on it, then give it away in overseas aid.

But, to quote Benjamin Franklin; " nothing is certain in this world except death and taxes" ?

Cheers.

Here’s a thing, and of course your point is completely logical about paying for stuff…..however, if government just performed the basic role of government (defence, rule of law & infrastructure) the tax take would be about 5% !!……that’s pretty much a fact.

Then of course you have the baubles like the NHS, a worthy and noble bauble it is too……people shouldn’t have to die because they are skint, same for welfare.

Even so, that still doesn’t come anywhere close to nearly 7 months of everyone’s work every year……so where is it going ?

To suggest adding a case for morality when the people forcefully taking it are so profligate with it just can not stack up mate…..there’s no morality, it’s just numbers and rules and nothing more.

Lets all be honest, if everyone here never had to pay another penny in stealth or direct tax we wouldn’t…..none of us.

Not one single person would be rushing down to the MPs office and saying “here is 7 months of my wages, piss it away however you see fit” lol ?

I never mentioned morality personally in any of my posts .

I quoted David Cameron hypocritically saying in in reference to Jimmy Carr.

Cheers.

Sounds a good idea mate. I have often thought of going for a councillor's position we have one independent in Rotherham who is doing a great job in exposing and bringing the mostly labour controlled council to task its a pity a lot who would be better for community's and the country have had colourful pasts that would see them slaughtered by social media and the main party's if they did get in these positions.

There you have it mate, peoples past is often trawled up and spun to illicit a response and we lap it right up…..as this thread is testament too really.

Whatever the rights or wrongs of the Sunaks tax status, the hypocrisy is staggering !

Labour MP Emily Thornberry, AKA Lady Nugee, has just been on the news, not exactly accusing the Sunak of anything illegal, but making insinuations and innuendo.

Remember, this is the very rich woman who bought a council house in London and sold it on at great profit !

The same woman who sneered at the house flying a Saint George's flag, mocked "white van man", and said Brexit voters were less intelligent than remainers !

But, hey, let's not let principles get in the way of party politics !

Cheers.
