When I struggle , I try to occupy myself into something positive . I try to call it the golden hour , wether it be a workout , reading or actual work , I try to do one think every day to improve my life .

Open university free courses were a god send for me , I’ve done about 60 the last 12 months from structured Formal engineering personal development to history , social sciences , anything . They have topics to suit anyone and understanding is key to your own perceived failings .

give this a whirl , mate , who knows ? It may help .

This free course, Understanding depression and anxiety, explores the causes of these mental health issues...

keep your mind occupied with other things ?

Hmmm...you go through up and down extremes and have done on these forums for years.

One thing is sure; there's no one on here with the professional qualifications to help you !

You need serious help mate, you're obviously crying out for help.

If your GP or the NHS won't or can't help, then 'phone the Samaritans, but for fucks sake stop asking on here.......there's no one on here can help you.

Get professional help.

Cheers.

Youd be better going to the childrens hospital, that way youd see we innocent lives wanting to live but are too sick, that would bring you round a bit. Appreciate you have it good for theres people out there would give anything for a normal life, go get the help from the specialists, talk to your other half and god bless you

I don’t think the charver s sole crutch is thl mate ,

Or expecting to find the answer to all his help here .

but having a larger network to prop you up if or when you find troubles helps with mhfa

resilience is key , being made to look a fool helps no one . ?

Well it lets you see no matter how bad you think it is, theres always somebody worse off. I dont know the man personally but as advised already on here, he needs to see a specialist and tell his other half, he might feel better even just talking to his best mate. Either way i hope he beats his demons.

TB, Your profile says East Midlands, without knowing exactly where it's hard to give you the correct phone number but look up your local Mental Health Helpline.

They will give you loads of support and encourage you to seek further advice.

Cheers, D.

It takes a man to admit his weaknesses imho and if you feel comfortable in the anonymity of a forum rather than Facebook or professionals as a first port of call who are we to judge .

I was in a bad place mentally two years ago , I had to be me for everyone else and inside I was crumbling. In a way I still am but I’m much more battle hardened for it.

what I found helped was I took quotes that inspired me and I put them everywhere. I printed and laminated them on walls , my notebook , I used them as screensavers in my phone , had them on my sun visor in the car .

when I found myself alone and unoccupied, I’d read them and use the hate or self loathing I felt to push me on .

any way these were the pics I used , I hope that they may be of solace for you .

I’m a bit insulted you never opened up about it to me……I’d have battered sense into you and told you to stop being a clown ! ;)

Lifes been pretty perfect just lately..changed jobs..better money..

It's all good now I want to die again..what the fuckis wrong with me lads...I no am weak mindined..why one day I feel good the next I self harm..f***ing perfetic..

Absolutely first and foremost cut out the booze.

Don’t take this the wrong way but don’t be one of those pathetic creeps who is dribbling about his problems full to the brim with drink.

You have to be better than that, for you and for the people around you…..booze is the devil incarnate to anyone who is going through a hard time.

Once you have done that, then just talk to someone, anyone….even if it’s only on here.

In fairness to Greb and the other lads they have given great advice, remember with these things, it ain’t just you that you effect.

You have always come across as a very decent lad mate and decent lads deserve to be ok ?

I think everyone has things that work for themselves.for me its being in the peace and quiet weather its out walking with my dog or fishing I just like to get away from things.even a hour walk along canal or on the moors can make a whole world of difference to my mood.where I know people that hate that and will go spend a hour or two in the pub just for the company and banter with the lads just finds what works for you mate.
