I’m with you on the slip on footwear, dignity and pride have stopped me from going down the slippery slope of “crocdom”. But my days of doing up laces are all but over . I wear Adidas sliders around the house , unzipped  le chameau’s or Nike trainers with the laces tied in a knot and loose ( down with the kids ) at work. I’ve still got a pair of meindle boots , but bending down for the laces takes time and planning.
