My father in laws mates dairy farm was for sale and it's been bought by a company from London who are going to sell the farm house, but keep the land and plant trees on the hundreds of acres to "offset carbon"

Pasture is very effective at secreting carbon. And it produces food. Now a company doesn't have to reduce carbon emissions....just of set it. So the only thing to change is the land stops producing food and employing people.

There you have it ! 
My old mum was telling me her electric bill is going up by £100+ a year so they said on the telly……she’s 89 and lives alone, if these people could explain how an old age pensioner paying an extra 100 quid a year is helping while we merrily ship millions of tons in from China and destroy mixed pasture at home then I’d like to hear it.
