Gets the best out of all his dogs and gives them care and attention second to none. Dogs always fit as fiddles and always top grafters. That's what hunting with dogs is all about in my opinion, taking care of your dog's and valuing them by giving them the best and the rest follows 1 Quote Link to post

I got taken out by a guy on here once ten year ago and had a bight out with his dogs and that set me on the path to what I do now, although I don’t think he will know that. This wasn’t with regard to the whippet but what came next and why the whippet wasn’t replaced by a whippet Quote Link to post

No, I didn't say that mate. But you did say he was a 'one off'. All I'm saying is, he was probably just like most whippets, full of character and game for most things. 1 Quote Link to post

Mike doesn’t breed and I don’t know anyone who runs them, the ones I’ve seen from Mike and similar lines were all thick set things, little bit bully, quite tall (21/22”), not as fast but quite robust. Like I said I don’t know anyone who keeps that type anymore and so for me he was a one off, something I’d always fancied and I had and I enjoyed having but probably won’t seek to replace him. Hope that makes sense ? Also think there are probably a few folk on here who will vouch that he was way more like a small Lurcher than a whippet. That one I paid for mate, although to be fair he did it for less than asking price and let me have lick of the litter but like I said, I knew no one. I’d been back in the uk for I think two or three months when I booked the pup. That’s what I meant I bought my first runner, I was gifted the rest, although I’ve made them take money or given them something. My point was I’m. It connected etc. Just got a dog, did my best and met some sound folk along the way, always done them good turns abs had good turns back. This pup I’m getting, I’ll make the lad end up with 150-250 somehow , a good dinner or two in pub after a day out, bottle of metacam, or penicillin, maybe a nice terrier couple, whatever. 2 Quote Link to post
