I understand Tigger was a very good roe dog. Cheers. The dog just killed whatever it was slipped on. You missed out mate, Mik is a top countryman with a deep knowledge of fish, fur and feather.....it’s just interesting being in his company and the amount of gear he can put in front of a dog, rod or gun is mind blowing
WILF 50,331
It’s strange chatting about dogs and a little sad actually because I will never be able to own a dog I’d want again. My circumstances dictate that it’s just no longer possible, I have livestock, not enough work for it, the topography of the land provides no test and in fact would sicken an animal and there isn’t enough tackle to point it at in any case. A very odd sensation actually.

We both spent a huge part of our lives as expats, seen the world from a different perspective. Cheers.

As you know mate, he was home 6 months of the year and that dog went out every single night of those 6 months. Did he have his deerhound Sal with him when you judged that show ? Sal was a lovely bitch

Dogs like that just aren’t that widely available anymore and those that are , I haven’t got 2 year to find out if It will end up spewing , which 99 percent will. lurchers have changed , for lads wanting a small rabbiting sort or a hare scarer it hasn’t really. Bit the agg Of getting Caught up the scotch side or in the A1 isn’t worth the agg when you know your just toying about with something bred from jank 3

I’m planning on getting something soon to duck around with but not in the manner I’ve had before. i think personally I’d be more of a couple bushers and a small runner type rather than two liabilities at the end of a leash from now on though.
