Funnily enough though, yesterday on you tube, I watched tony robinson, from blackadder, doing a vid about robin hood, and all real evidence does point to him being from yorkshire

And also theres a statue of robin hood outside Nottingham castle.....how much more proof do you need...:D

and not forgetting  robin was often found boozing in the pub that's carved in to the castle walls  Ye olde trip to Jerusalem ....the oldest pub in Britain.. 1189....so again must be true

under Nottingham castle ....and all round the city there are entrances to tunnels ...and there are a few guided tours there are miles and miles of them.. ...also not far away is the galleries of justice ...that's very intresting its all the old jail and courst house from way back in history.....

last time I was there I was looking at all the graffiti carved in to the walls by the prisoners ..very often before they were shipped of to OZ ...and what was incredible was the standard of handwriting ....real old writing ..like calligraphy ...beautifull it was
