Shorthorn, Angus, Hereford are good strong healthy cattle that can take the weather and terrain. Commercial cattle, charolais, limousine and their xs ect ect, need that bit of extra care. stumfelter 3,034 Posted July 22, 2020 Report Share Posted July 22, 2020 This is where my grandparents lived in culmore, it was the lodge for the big house that they used to look after while the owners (English) were away. It had no gas, no electricity, just an outside tap and a soil closet toilet outside. jigsaw 11,902 Posted July 22, 2020 Report Share Posted July 22, 2020 (edited) we rented a woodmans cottage in the middle of a wood,(hence the title lol)half a mile of a secondary road,3 miles from the nearest shops and village,but...and this is an important but...there were lakes full of wild trout there,and we had a great time ...till one day i opened the front door and there was a big red bull with a ring on its nose a foot from the front door,there was 2 windows and 1 door in the place ,and we couldnt get out of the house,i poke d him with a sweeping brush to move him,we hopped the brush off his skull,we threw water on him but the fooker wouldnt budge ,we were held hostage by the b*****d for nearly an hour and then he mosied on and we all jumped in the car and took off...she sad (the wife) no more holidays in ireland ...and the next year we went to lanzarotten...and my father took ill and went in to a coma while away ...ffs ,you couldnt make it up...and i still want to move to the middle of nowhere to die a happy death lol Edited July 22, 2020 by jigsaw 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
