Badger cull

I look at it like this . If you look at the size of a badger and think about how much protein an animal of that size needs to keep healthy? Anyone who keeps dogs will know how much food they need . Multiply that by however many there are in a sett , then multiply that by how many setts there are on the ground and you will start to appreciate how much they eat and how much wildlife is disappearing to satisfy the protein intake. When numbers are high you will also notice that grassland suffers because they eat earthworms that help with drainage of the soil . There are people who come out with negative statements about pheasants being released . These are often from people who have a negative view of pheasant shooting in general, because they see it as a reserve of the very wealthy and despise the rich and landowners . There views are from  cynical hate filled eyes with no basis from experience or evidence. To the haters I say that pheasant shooting not all Toffs racing around in Range rovers , but accessible to all . It employs people in rural areas and benefits wildlife . From my own viewpoint I can see that the land I work on is teeming with bird life and all manner of flora and fauna. On the flip side the woodland that is owned by English nature next to us is like a dessert, with very few deer because of public access . Squirrel damage and not so much bird life because there is no feed being put out , no corvid control . It’s a myth bandied about by the likes of Chris Packem, and it suits their anti shooting agenda . It’s all down to money , the RSPB reserves are less successful than shooting estates , there is a huge shortfall in the RSPB pension fund and they are desperate for government money , and as long as shooting interests are more successful at protecting bird life than them the battle for public support goes on . I’m surprised that members of this forum are that gullible , to believe their sh@t .

Yep our shoot,tree surgeons, farmers,factory workers ,engineers just normal people from all walks of life.

Small shoot ,self administered and game keepered ,no staff just like minded people. 

It,s a sad fact that chlis n his chums are winning the "propaganda "war as they're CONverts aren't interested in our truth.

They believe their lies so if you tell them the truth they shout you down. 

How dare we prove chlis is a compulsive liar and is making a great living out of bull and sh..

Yep Propaganda is a very powerful tool , just look at how effective it was in WW2. I have spent most of my life trying to educate people about shooting and the countryside . Antis just wont listen at all but some people who aren't one way or the other will listen sometimes even though they still dont agree.

Chris packham is going to put legal challenge in to try and stop this year's cull, going to get interesting,he definitely graves attention at all costs.

Whats the craic with setts bieng filled in and blocked lately on different pieces of land ? Is this part of the cull thing

I don't think the cull company is permitted to fill setts in, but if not in active use not classed has a badger set so could be filled in by farmers.
