I have had them, over the years and found they didn’t suit my shooting as in I didn’t do a lot of hide work, most of my shooting then was walked up, however they were good and very reliable on the marsh, anyway now I do loads of crow and pigeon shooting, but mainly use semi, I did however buy the mossberg hushpower 20 gauge and 410, and love them, Once you get used to cycling them you don’t notice it, and it stops you firing 3 shots rapidly in the same spot,  it makes you adjust your swing I find them very useful indeed and thinking of getting un-silenced barrels for my 2 mossbergs they are work horses without a doubt, I didn’t know they were going up so much,

Owned a few. Mossberg, Savage, Remington and Winchester's. I prefer them over automatic actions.

I had a 20g 870 a while ago and it was like a wand.

Always fancied an Ithaca or Browning bps.

Must admit I always fancied an SX3 / 4 but obviously a semi. Any gun that can cycle that fast is probably going to have a reliable mechanism. Also look well made but you'd expect that from Winny.

So much for not owning shotguns for zombie defence...

Seems to be no shortage in stock at Sportsman's Gun Centre though if your hearts set on a pump. There's also a brand new Winchester SXP pump for a bargain price of £376. The 28" is in stock, I didn't check the 26" option:

I've had a 500 ATP 8 shot for many years which I  had put on my FAC back when Hungerford happened.  I bought it for shooting rabbits out of the back of a truck at harvest time because  my sbs was getting knocked about on the roll frame when reloading.  It was the mag capacity that did it for me. Back in those days they were looked down on as cheap gangster guns. It is fun to shoot but it is a lump in comparison to a double. Mine is chambered for 3 inch so when you rack it using 67 or 70mm cartridges,  you have to be fast or else it will throw two cartridges onto the elevator which jams the whole thing. To clear this fault You have develop a technique of roll it over,  push finger up from bottom to knock one cartridge out the ejection port and then pump the second cartridge into battery. To reduce this happening I only load 6.  A good fun gun but apart from an itch id go for a double. I certainty wouldn't have a hushpower especially on walk up.  Just to much of a fencepost.
