Chid 6,815
When any of you who was furloughed and gone back to work , did your employer bring you in beforehand to discuss risk assessments PPE ect .. or did you just turn up at normal time and wing it ? I work in retail and nothing has been discussed .. 3 people in the break room yesterday and it's probably 12ft x 12ft .. no social distancing happening between staff it strikes me as a bit silly
kanny 21,751
I'm back on Monday and we will be having a meeting Monday morning on how to proceed, I've already had a advanced text telling me to bring a flask as the canteen will be out of bounds, that's about as much as I know at this point . Jonjon79 13,358
I'm not back at work yet (I wish I was) but, I work in a rail freight yard so, I don't come into contact with anyone all day. ...... I doubt we'll have a meeting - probably just go straight back in. If you're worried about the arrangements at break time, maybe ask for a different break time so that you can still use the facilities while keeping a distance that you're comfortable with.
Welsh_red 5,043
We have been back 2 weeks . Were told welfare is out of bounds , if we have to go close to each other or into clients house we have to call boss and told to take water to wash our hands before and after every break . Took 3 days before the boss himself was standing 1ft away from people and going into clients houses etc

Greb147 6,810
I got called back in after being on furlough for 3 weeks. Luckily I'm not near anybody as on this job I'm a glorified gateman. When I get on a regular job if things aren't in order I'll not be going in.
steve66 3,772
we have spaceing in the canteen , one per table unless your from the same house hold , 2 meter queing outside at the beginning of the shift , the shift beforehand has to leave be the side door , we go in the front door when they have left .Gloves must be worn , masks worn when the 2 meter rule cant be applied ie 2 man lifts or working in a container , luckily for me I work mostly alone and out the way so most of its not been a problem for me
The one 8,589
It changes every time we go in after our 4 days off but as the campus is now opening it has too , one at a time in the break room anything you touch you wash down . One per car when you swap over you wash down the steering wheel ,handbrake , gear stick window controls , radio controls etc we carry ppe in the back of the cars use it report it and get it replaced same with personal issue there trying to get one person in the car for the 12 hour shift but its not practical

I'm wanting to know as work seem to have took the hump with me for refusing to work while furloughed for £16 a day (20% of my wage)
