Made by TJ Harrington, who specialised in making stuff made of die-cast grey cheese. Those of a certain age will recall the little pocket-money toy bombs they produced that used the same ammunition as Lone Star cap pistols. Great fun for two minutes . They also used the same grey cheese to make some of the worst fishing reels ever seen. So bad they are now considered (very mildly )collectable. 1 1 Quote Link to post
samuria 331
sadly i remember the toy bombs..... but we upgraded to large nuts and bolts with washers. sandwiched between the washers were swan match heads wrapped in tin foil . then thrown in the air and onto the road. they did make a loud bang...... 4 Quote Link to post

My uncle had a fruit and veg business so any spuds looking a touch ropey were my ammo along with the allotment my grandfather had. Loads of ammo and boy did we use it. About 1960-63.................... what a time we had. Then the Gat being the start of air guns for me, a bloody long time ago when I think about it. First shotgun at the age of 14, oh my...... thats 54 years ago, you would think I could hit something by now Phil 1 Quote Link to post

samuria 331
my dad was a black powder gun man. he would mix his own powder. one year he made a banger from a very large tube which held thick string. then powder was placed in, then cut the ends off the broom (mum wasn't to happy) to plug the ends. fuse was made. nov 5th came ( great) he placed it near the fence lit the fuse...... we waited then BOOM like a thunder flash, but sadly no window left in his shed....... 2 Quote Link to post

I bought one in Great Yarmouth probably in the eighties. It was actually in .22 and I thought they were .177 only. I also bought a Gat from a fishing shop in Soundersfoot and a Lov2 from skeggy market. I still have the latter two. Here’s the Lov2, never seen another one. 1 Quote Link to post
