shaaark 11,528
Not too bad a player. My brother and his mate used to run the welsh pool league. But I could never take it too serious, and was only in one team in division 4 for one season, must be close to 25 years ago now

Fortnightly we played these first to 10 classics often ending 10 to 9 & we loved it! But I never took it serious, never practiced & never bought a cue. Life got in the way & we just didn’t play anymore, we both moved on & I could never find anyone to play again.... It’s been nice to get back into a bit of competition again & take it a bit more serious. I bought a cheap cue to play with, but my regular opponent has just spent 900 quid on his set up, so now I’ve got cue envy, which I never thought possible!

Born Hunter 17,960
Loved playing nine ball when in college. f**k all the skilful English games, the American game is much more enjoyable. 1

I’m only recently getting into 9 ball tbh......but I get it now. I’m actually a snooker fan, as a spectator, but 8 or 9 ball pool is much more enjoyable to play for a certain skill set such as mine.....

WILF 51,121
Forget an expensive cue, a really good well shaped tip, decent chalk and a small bit of soft sand paper will serve you much better .
