Sausagedog 7,381
I went to check my new trail camera this morning and it only photographed a squirrel. I think little birds set it off. There was two night shots but they were blurred! Maybe condensation via a rapid temp change in the night. The bait was untouched. On the way I walked a slang of trees for squirrel but to my joy a pheasant lifted up in front left to right at about 22yards or so. The little 410 came up moved Infront of its head and spoke. The bird fell head back dead in the air. Just 11g of #6, ace. 12 Quote Link to post

Stavross 18,489
I’m the same, I have a few people who are always grateful for a few birds and like you say I don’t want paying for them because it’s not about the money, one thing that annoys me about the shoot is at the end of the day some people don’t want to take any birds with them, so in my head I think what’s the point in shooting them if you don’t want them, they might as well go and shoot clays if you have no respect for the birds you are taking 4 1 Quote Link to post

Not criticising but for me it got to much. My friends benefit from my hunting and I enjoy cooking it myself. I also like the time alone and the peace. 2 Quote Link to post
