Sorry mate, I’m just not as familiar with that good old common sense as I am ya know, the truth. Good job too, otherwise I’d find myself using the same arguments the antis do which would place me in something of a predicament, given I’m a hunter. Loyalty is ok' Blind Loyalty is just stupid. f**k all to do with loyalty. Everything to do with an objective view of the facts having a passion for hunting and natural history. I’m totally open to having my mind changed on hunting practices and will be the first to acknowledge the failings and instance where practice needs to adapt to the evidence. You however have admitted that your mind can never be changed. So who’s blind?

I think we have to be careful to conserve wild ecosystems, not just select species. If we found ourselves in a situation where a species existence was pretty much dependent on farming them then I’d say they are essentially extinct. But like with the topic of ‘fenced’ reserves, breeding in captivity to repopulate can be a very broad subject, covering an awful lot of different practices.

You must have a crystal ball . Not really max lions are actually voracious breeders , parts of Kenya are infested with lions as hunting is illegal there. these aren’t areas that resemble the lion king these are scrub plains with very little sustenance yet still they thrive. Imagine how the populations are fairing outside such meagre areas ? Lions were described to me as like rats, they will always be around

Thing is I love sitting down with vegans or casual antis and having a respectful exchange of views. I’m quite happy for someone to duke it out with me, even another hunter. Ethics are very important! There’s plenty of valid points to go over and angles that I had not considered. I’ve just got no time for out and out ignorance.

What they going to feed on for ever and a day if they will definatley NEVER go extinct in their natural habitat and lands if the rich keep shooting everything else ?????? Like I said Big Statement to say they will Never become Endangered I’ll stick to what the game rangers , landowners and LION BREEDERS told me max mate 2 minutes ago, maxhardcore said: From 1950 to 1975 it was estimated Wild African Lion numbers had fell by half from 400k to 200k Another study in 2004 said they could be down to as little as 17k. That was 15 yrs ago 17k ? In the whole of Africa ?? If that’s the case then my mates dad has bred half of them

Matey from Sunderland knows the crack. 9 minutes ago, THE STIFFMEISTER said: 17k ? In the whole of Africa ?? If that’s the case then my mates dad has bred half of them What max hasn’t said is that those census numbers have huge error bars due to the nature of trying to count how many of anything exists in the continent of Africa! That said I think it’s pretty indisputable that much of Africa’s megafauna has seen scary downward trends in the last century. Driven largely by illicit wildlife trade and the constant expansion of human civilisation/agriculture. Fortunately hunting is providing revenue to protect wild habitat (65% of Africa’s wildlife parks) and the value the lion has in these private business ventures maintains its existence as an asset in these habitats. There also seems to be a big market for petting zoos and shit like that but I can’t really see the conservation value or ethical justification for that shit.

Maybe you are being over optimistic with your Hares. Best you give up all hunting now. Then probably leave this site as there won't be any point being on here any more.
