Maybe so but not at heavyweight...... my friendly, pacifist, none passive aggressive  response is Ali would of only got better as he came down weights but it’s harder the other way ?

Resume wise he's the greatest no doubt at HW but there's a few that would have been very dangerous for him H2H. Joe Louis, Mike Tyson, Larry Holmes.

This Wallin character is rated 46 on Boxrec so theres 45 better fighters to choose from......were they all busy that night ! Fights like this are embarrassing pantomime fights that belong in WWF

I'm sure max will be watching it. Knob in hand throwing himself around the living room..

If Fury cant get opponents like that out of there when in a desperate situation he has problems, personally i think he is tailor made for Joshua who is an elite finisher pushing forward under very litt

Who knows, it’s hard to say and it will never be answered now but I believe he would of found a way, he was just simply to good not to!

He couldn't find a way in the first Frazier bout, yes he was a few fights after his lay-off but Joe proved he could be beat. That for me is probably the best HW fight of all time.

He couldn't lick Kenny Norton in 3 outings even though he was gifted 2 of them, he was an amazing fighter and you would favour him to beat anybody at his peak but I'm not so confident.

Louis and Tyson would have had the best chance of stopping him, both were ferocious combination punchers.

A nice article on a mythical Tyson/Ali bout.

when ali lent back on the ropes and let foreman unload a good few times the power in foreman would destroy probably all of todays heavyweight's.

can you imagine fury leaning back on the ropes and letting someone the same size and the same power as foreman unload on him.

he would be on the canvas double quick.

no sane man can compare fury to ali it's total madness...

He goes into depth on the rope a dope here mate, well worth a watch

The rope-a-dope was a myth, Ali did not plan to use this tactic at all. He underestimated Foreman's ability to cut off the ring and improvised on the spot.

There’s not much shame in going 15 rounds against joe fraizer and losing on points tho.

Fraizer won the first battle but Ali won the war at 2-1 mate, we can nit pick all we want, we could mention Ali’s peak years were missed due to not going Vietnam and getting banned so did we even see the best of him? Who knows, he is long gone but the fact we are still talking about his fights from 50 years ago like they were yesterday speaks volumes in itself imo......I’ve forgot the danish guys name fury fought on Sunday already lol

No shame at all and he gave Frazier that much of a beating in the FOTC he spent weeks in hospital and was never the same again.

I just think a bigger, faster, harder hitting Tyson would have been a much bigger danger than Frazier.

Peak for peak that would have been a fight for the ages.
