It was only an observational type question squire... nothing to get defensive about.

Not defensive just puzzled to how you think it's a strange topic to bring up. I have done a little research over the years as I feel it's imperative to do so before making decisions on wether to take them.

Have seen for years that you are a very knowledgeable bloke on the subject of gym training and I think you have a better than average understanding of the workings of the body for training purposes and to be honest I have been waiting for you to weigh in on the Diet thread.

Do you have much of a knowledge about diet and training mate ?

Probably more than the average bloke Wilf i just think theres so much information out there on the subjects these days people can read for days about it so theres not really much point adding my 2 bobs worth.....whereas things like steroids and odd things are still a little bit more specialised and not quite so exhaustively discussed.

Well, I was talking to a nutritionist last week and he told me some new things I didnt know......probably common knowledge but I didn’t know them all the same.

He was telling about how it takes more calories to process high protein foods etc.

Told me about working big muscles (which in fairness I think you told me ages ago) to burn more calories.

Anyway, I just found it interesting as I’m trying to shift a bit of flab.

Because you seem to know plenty of people on steroids and formed your own opinions i dont know why you would ask random strangers on the internet.....but no problem boss like i say it was just an observation.

It's not exactly a rarity this day and age is it, and I don't know what to make of it all if I'm being honest. And random strangers off the Internet are as good as any to ask. That's what the general section is for surely?

I don’t think random strangers off the internet should be listened to at all when it comes to injecting your self with anything......

Thats it mate.....a very simple thing i often tell folk just casually wanting to lose a few lb is in the snacky foods we all feel guilty about eating.... just swap them for basic negative calorie foods.....foods that burn more calories through digestion than they actually offer.

Very true but you get out of it what you can, real life experience does actually matter and not always what you read in a text book.

That's the thing I don't think I know anyone well enough to be honest about it, lads I know try and deny it and my cousin who has dabbled over the years is a numpty who gets his information from his suppliers.

Oh ok....a few pages back your mind seemed pretty made up by the people you knew who were on them......anyway it doesnt matter.

I always say the same thing to people,if you are contemplating putting any substance in your body then you have to put the leg work in yourself, find your own answers......read,get an understanding yourself and become clued up enough to make your own decisions even if it takes a couple of years of research dont just take someones word for it this is your body be responsible for your own choices... you be the expert......or be like the disco muscle kids pay your money and take your pick its up to you.......all the best with your future fitness anyway.
