WILF 50,257
I’ll tell you what freaked me out yesterday, me and the boy sat watching MOTD and they keep saying the name “Trezuget” and I’m like “What the f**k ?” So I say to the boy, did they say “Trezuget” and he says “Yeah” So now I’m really confused because I can’t see David Trezuget on the pitch anywhere ! Lol lol But no, it’s a young player called Trezuget !........f**k, talk about getting old ! Lol lol

Blackmag 6,382
I would like him to do well I thought he did a good job at derby I know they have a few very good young players who haven't been given much game time but with that transfer ban they could well get games which might be a blessing in disguise for him

Yesterdays openers felt very promising for the season ahead.....I think we could witness some fantastic football.

As long as this Var caper dont get in the way.......personally i think its going to ruin games.....Cities third goal went in yesterday and we all looked around asking each other what happened as the City fans didnt even bother cheering......they knew Var was coming. Wilf i saw your post the other day about our season ahead and Pellegrini etc.....i remember wondering how you would be thinking on Sunday morning ....f**k me it was terrible !...we get pumped by them in the same ways, same scorelines every season and Pelle still sent them out on the attack....i think it will be a long hard season for us like any other. Rock and hard place mate...you'll lose defending you'll lose attacking ... it's a no win game....personally I think have a go... Regards VAR, I agree with you, too many decision go with it, it's down to millimeters now.... I thought the over the line tech worked very well last season, this VAR is taken it too far imo

Lol.... good analogy... My point is putting 10 men behind the ball you will still get beat, I think Pel knows there is no good outcome and thinks having a go is better than a slow death lol... I think you'll be alright this season, top 10 finish and push on....
gnasher16 31,505
For me there are far too many penalty decisions.....i dont know why any penalty should be awarded if its not a goal scoring opportunity......a dodgy little handball on the corner of a packed penalty area shouldnt result in a free shot at goal from 12 yards anyway.....too many games are being decided on situations that have no real relevance to scoring a goal. And as for off side and whether a piece of Raheem Sterlings nasal hair was infront or behind a defenders earlobe..............who f****n cares just call whatever you see !! He is a serial winner who can handle managing the biggest clubs....Man City want to be in the "big club" bracket and Pep is your man for that... as much as it goes against the grain to say it City are a fantastic team to watch, and have quality cover in every position...Liverpools first 11 are equally as brilliant but I think their slightly weaker squad will cost them the league again this year... Winning the PL with City and a semi final in the CL didn't do Pellegrini much good. Doesn't matter how good Pep is if he doesn't deliver the Sheik's business plan he will be axed. Look at the top clubs who are managed by large corporations. There is no sentiment whatsoever. Pep was actually managing City's transfers almost a year before le left Bayern, behind the real manager's back. He's had the time and the only thing that the owner wants is a European pedigree. Nothing less will do. As for Frankie and Ole; I wish them well. But I can't help feeling that the corporate suits have used popular old boys to buy a bit of time and get the critics off their backs. They won't have the guile of the likes of Mourinho and Benitez and I don't think that they will fare any better.

Regards corporate/business I tend to agree.... the point is, where do you go from Pep to improve? City are playing the best football since the top UTD sides and Arsenals invincibles... in fact probably better... there has been a remarkable improvement in quality of play since Pep joined... the money has been there for a long time, so his influence is huge obviously.... I just cant see where you would go management wise, City are set to rule this country and probably Europe for a long time imo... Regards ole and Frank....I agree, I think ole has the tougher job as UTD have suffered severely since Ferguson's left and there has been no direction, either in the transfers market or on the pitch... Frank not being able to spend could be a blessing, if he secures a top 6 finish without spending a penny and after losing their best player in the last 6 or 7 years he has done a good job...the top 4 is tough....top 6 is hard enough...
