The likes of him would simply say.............thats nature............and expect the farmer to stand the costs of the losses

Came across this, Scottish farming podcast where a sheep farmer describes how his stock has been decimated by eagles, and how he can’t sustain a viable farm with losses annually running into tens of thousands. Starts at about 5’45”. The usual narrative is they scavenge dead lambs and might take the occasional live one. This guy’s story says different!

Three birds disappeared with some sat trackers cut off. Sea eagles are an incredible sight no doubt and I’d love to see more of them, but people seem to forget there is a reason they were hunted to extinction before. The release of these birds is the equivalent to some farms of releasing a fox into a chicken coop. Bordering on reckless if you don’t account for the impact of what’s being done. The video I posted in March details some of the extent of that impact. And no doubt ‘hunting’ will be in the frame as prime suspect in the disappearances.

Police are investigating the disappearance of three white-tailed eagles across the country.

Seen this on the news last night the culprits will be caught within a few days I think as they have offered a large cash reward and folk just don’t know how to keep quiet, unless it was done by some old farmer fed up of losses with know interest in likes 🤔

Just had a little read and it appears the three birds are not connected I assumed all from one area but it’s not it’s three separate incidents in three separate areas of the uk so much less chance of conviction they are meant to be releasing them near me on the Severn estuary next probably be through slim bridge
